Footsteps of Pompallier Pilgrimage is a not for profit event, entirely run by volunteers, and to keep the price reasonable for pilgrims we fundraise to be able to pay for all the logistical expenses of putting on this event and supporting the pilgrims to walk 100kms over 4 days.
This year our main fundraiser is a lottery with prizes including a Nespresso machine, a Samsung Smart TV and a generous cash prize with tickets limited to 400 only.

We enjoy speaking speaking to groups about the history of the first Catholic missionaries to NZ, pilgrimages, how a traditional, walking pilgrimage is a journey that promises to enrich the soul and deepen our connection with Almighty God and why it is important to us in a modern world.
